Marathon seems to be doubling down their soured reputation on Ordinals, much to the chagrin of many bitcoiners. One can make a strong argument that Marathon has proven itself to be a bad actor in the past, and this recent decision may put to rest that argument. Nonetheless, node runners still have options available to them, including clearing their mempool of this trash and not broadcasting it to your peers.
